Developed in 456, this weapon's speed leaves the enemy reeling. - In game description.
A weapon obtained in the Wellspring Steeple in a chest on the 3F with a base damage of 90 and defense 50. Overall, it's weaker than the Athosian Sword, but it let's you move and attack faster.
The twinblades' defining attribute is speed, which proves to be invaluable when exploring the Towers in search of chains to break, or to retreat to the observatory when the timer starts reaching dangerous levels. In battle however, its speed is somewhat hindered by the lack of reach and power. Indeed, to inflict a decent amount of damage, Areon must be close to the enemy, as to not let the recoil push the target out of the blades' reach. To counter this issue, usage of the chain is vital, as chaining foes diminish the knockback from attacks. Another interesting detail is the lack of flinching the blades cause, on some heavier enemies, making the use of the chain in tandem with the blades all the more vital to an effective attack. The only real issue that the chain cannot solve is the blades' lack of ability when it comes to fighting multiple foes. the small reach leaves little room to hit more than one enemy.
All in all, it is a weapon that will see a lot of use if upgraded quickly (as it craves the higher combos and boosts in power), but it should left aside when multiple high caliber enemies appear, in favor of the more balanced sword, or the slow but deadly scythe.
